Description

Canadian pianist Eve Egoyan presents Longing and Belonging, a musical program that explores her Armenian heritage.

The program reflects Eve Egoyan’s personal journey, exploring the intersection of her Armenian heritage and her piano practice. Born in Canada to Armenian parents, she traveled to Armenia in 2022 and connected with the music of contemporary composers.

She performs works by Komitas Vardapet and composers from Armenia and the diaspora: Vatche Sharatyan, Mary Kouyoumdjian, Narine Khachatryan, Boghos Gelalian, Tigran Mansurian, and Egoyan herself. Through this music, she seeks a space between memory and the present, creating her own musical universe.

Program
