Meet our Board of Directors!

Behind Festival Accès Asie is a team of dedicated individuals who, each in their own way, help promote Asian arts and cultures. We would like to introduce you to the members of our board of directors and highlight their involvement in the organization, as well as the paths that connect them to our mission.

Khosro Berahmandi — President

A multidisciplinary artist of Iranian origin, Khosro Berahmandi is a longtime ally of the Festival Accès Asie. Having served as Executive Director, Artistic Director and Curator, he has an intimate understanding of the organization’s history and development. As President of the Board of Directors, he continues his commitment to promoting Asian arts and cultures.

My An — Vice-President

With a background in ethics and creative writing, My An explores women’s anger, the legacy of immigrant families, and the joys of being a modern-day witch in her poetry. She is a professional audience member (according to Émilie Perreault) who critiques the arts from the perspective of a racialized feminist. If you’re looking for her, she’s probably at the theatre! She has also collaborated on Asiate en court, the Festival Accès Asie’s short film competition.

Céline Gleviczky — Treasurer

Trained in contemporary dance, Céline Gleviczky has developed a unique sensitivity to the body, its rhythms, and its many forms of expression. From 2017 to 2020, Céline was actively involved in the cultural sector and served as Executive Director of the Festival Accès Asie. Today, as a yoga instructor and doula, she continues to contribute her experience and sensitivity to the festival.

Natsumi Sophia Bellali — Secretary

A dance and theatre artist, Natsumi Sophia Bellali first took part in the Festival Accès Asie as an artist before becoming involved with its board of directors. Trained at The Ailey School in New York, she is a founding member of MICHIYAYA Dance and has performed as both an actor and dancer at numerous venues across Montréal.

Jade Barshee — Administrator

As the founder of Théâtre Everest, Jade Barshee brings valuable experience in cultural coordination, having previously held this position at the Festival Accès Asie. Her knowledge of the arts community—and theater in particular—contributes to the board’s deliberations and the development of the festival’s activities.

T.K. Raghunathan — Administrator

Born in New Delhi, TK (Raghu) Raghunathan is a cultural leader who has been working for more than twenty-five years to promote South Asian arts in Quebec. As co-founder and executive director of the Kabir Cultural Center, he draws on his background in engineering and management, as well as his senior leadership experience in his own profession, to balance rigorous management with an inclusive vision. Having helped showcase hundreds of artists in Quebec, he shares a mission and values that mirror those of the Accès Asie Festival.

David Chhiv — Administrator

Originally from France and now based in Quebec, David draws on his expertise in experiential marketing and sponsorships to support the board of directors’ activities. Drawing on his Vietnamese and Cambodian heritage, he is delighted to be involved with the Festival Accès Asie and to wholeheartedly contribute to promoting artists and communities.
