During her mandate, Nayla played a significant role in showcasing the practices of Asian artists through innovative artistic projects and enriching collaborations, while strengthening the connections between the communities and the festival’s artists. The team and the board of the festival would like to warmly thank her for her work and dedication. The Festival will continue its activities with the same passion and creativity as we await the announcement of the new Artistic Director.
We are also pleased to announce that Khosro Berahmandi will take on the interim role of Artistic Director part-time. His deep knowledge of the festival will be a valuable asset in guiding this transition with confidence and calm.
“Dear public, dear artists, dear partners,
I am announcing my departure as Artistic Director of Festival Accès Asie. I would like to express my immense gratitude to each and every one of you for this exceptional experience.
This adventure has been marked by exciting projects, inspiring collaborations, and unforgettable encounters. I had the honor of working alongside talented artists and a dedicated team, and contributing to highlighting the richness of Asian artists’ practices and their collaborators within our communities. Together, we strengthened the connections between the festival and its audience, and I am proud of the journey we have taken.
I would like to warmly thank everyone involved in this adventure — the team, the artists, the board, our partners, our funders, and, of course, our loyal audience. Festival Accès Asie will continue to grow with promising projects in the years to come.
I also wish great success to the person who will take over. I am certain the festival will continue to proudly champion the diversity of Asian artistic expression.
Thank you again for this incredible experience.
With all my affection and gratitude,”
Nayla Naoufal
