City of Montréal
Valérie Plante — Mayor of Montréal

For nearly 30 years, Festival Accès Asie has been offering a rich program of events highlighting the cultural traditions of Asia.

The festival also recognizes the tremendous contribution made by Asian communities to Montréal life and to the city’s effervescence.

Accès Asie is one of the highlights of Asian Heritage Month, inviting the public to discover the know-how and passion of emerging and professional artists. By promoting exchanges and discussions, the festival helps to increase openness and understanding between the various communities that enrich our city.

I’d like to congratulate everyone involved in organizing this festival. Your work contributes to showcasing the artistic richness of Asian communities and reinforcing Montréal’s status as a cultural metropolis.

I warmly invite Montrealers to take part in the various Accès Asie activities.

Enjoy the festival and Asian Heritage Month!

Valérie Plante — Mayor of Montréal

Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec
Anne-Marie Jean — President and CEO

By cultivating ties between the communities that make up the city, the Festival Accès Asie helps bring to audiences the innovative work of artists from the Asian diaspora, spotlighting many emerging artists, on a mission not unlike that of the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ).

I would like to congratulate artistic director Nayla Naoufal for putting together her first program, which promises to be rich and inclusive, showcasing the diversity and vitality of contemporary creators. I would also like to applaud the efforts of managing director Karine Kerr-Gillespie and her team, as well as the work of the artists, partners, and all those who work behind the scenes to make this event possible.

With so many issues competing for our attention these days, artists shine a light on our times and turn an attentive ear to its challenges. Leading the way, they show us the path, awaken our consciousness, and inspire us to evolve in our thinking. This is why, as it nears its 30th anniversary, the CALQ is renewing its commitment to supporting activities in artistic settings, by encouraging creativity, innovation, and promising initiatives.

Enjoy the festival!

Anne-Marie Jean — President and CEO

The Honourable Pascale St-Onge — Minister of Canadian Heritage

Since its inception, Festival Accès Asie has called upon a multitude of means of expression in order to shine a spotlight on the traditions, arts and culture of people of Asian origin, which help create our country’s rich heritage.

These artistic gatherings draw from our shared love for arts and culture in order to bring us together and celebrate the creators that bring them to life. This is the ideal time to celebrate the diversity that makes our country strong, while highlighting the importance of inclusion and mutual respect within our society.

As Minister of Canadian Heritage, I would like to congratulate everyone who worked with great dedication to make this 29th Festival Accès Asie possible. May this festival be a source of inspiration and joy, and may Asian Heritage Month be a time of celebration and appreciation!
