The Gesture of Sharing, this is the theme of the 18thedition of Festival Accès Asie, which will be held from May 2nd to 19th.
Description
Established in 1995 to promote all artistic disciplines, directly or indirectly, from Asian cultures, such as dance, theater, film, visual arts, music, poetry, new media and so on, this year, Festival Accès Asie presents artists from Montreal, Canada and abroad from Asian cultural diversity. Singaporean artists, Indonesian, Iranian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and other artists will illuminate the month of May, declared as the Asian Heritage Month in Canada. The festivities will start from Thursday, May 2nd, at 5:00pm, at MAI (Montréal, arts interculturels).
Wine, presentation of programming, oriental dance by artist Marina Salonga, piano by Charity Chan, laughter and good humor will be part of this colorful launch !
The first event will take place on the same date with ÉCLATS – Vitrine Festival CanAsian, a contemporary dance performance presented in collaboration with Tangente and MAI (Montreal, arts interculturels). Festival Accès Asie will be pleased to present three choreographic creations by dancers / choreographers Tomomi Morimoto, Meena Murugesan and William Yong, at 8:00 pm, at MAI (Montreal, arts interculturels).
