Description
Who says that every journey has a destination? The documentary Je suis ici (I am here) tells the stories of five newcomers to Montreal. Deep friendships are born between them and their French teacher, who helps them to overcome the difficulties of starting a new life here.
A discussion will follow with the film’s director.

Public reception begins 30 minutes before the performance. Latecomers will not be admitted.
If you are unable to attend, please inform us. This will allow someone else to enjoy the performance and prevent empty seats in view of the artists.
If the event is sold out, it is possible to present yourself at the door before the show. Unclaimed seats will be offered a few minutes before the performance, on a first-come, first-served basis.

As a committed filmmaker, Allen Forouhar (he) explores deep and universal themes through his works, tackling topics such as identity, self-discovery, cultural duality and diaspora experiences. His works offer a deep reflection on the contrasts and similarities between Canadian and Iranian cultures, while building bridges between the two worlds.
