JOB OFFER – EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Festival Accès Asie is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual for the position of Executive Assistant. This is a temporary full-time position under the Emploi Québec wage subsidy (work experience component) from November 17th to June 12th, 2025.
The selected candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and Artistic Director of the organization to assist with administration, communication, and the production of the organization’s events.
Main Responsibilities
-Drafting artist contracts in collaboration with the Managing Director;
-Managing the ticketing system: creating events, issuing complimentary tickets, and following up on and drafting attendance reports;
-Assisting in writing grant reports for Festival activities;
-Preparing and sending invitations for certain Festival activities;
-Contacting ministers and funders to obtain letters of support;
-Assisting with the preparation and logistics of Festival events;
-Assisting with the administrative tasks of the Managing Director, Artistic Director, and the Programming and Communications Coordinator of the Festival.
Key Skills Required
-Excellent ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously;
-Strong organizational skills and time management;
-Excellent writing skills in French and English;
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team;
-Knowledge of Google Suite, including Gmail and Google Drive;
-Understanding of the issues faced by diversity organizations is an asset;
-Knowledge of accounting is a plus;
-Familiarity with Asian arts and culture, and the arts and culture scene in Montreal is an asset.
Recruitment Conditions
-Application deadline: October 24th, 2025;
-Start date: November 17th, 2025;
-Must be eligible for the Emploi Québec wage subsidy, work experience component (unemployed or on unemployment insurance) and obtain a valid wage subsidy letter from Services Québec;
-Temporary contract for 30 weeks at 35 hours/week;
-Compensation at an hourly rate of $20;
-Office located at 1200 Bleury St. in downtown Montreal. Hybrid mode, including in-person and remote work;
-Accessible premises for individuals with reduced mobility;
-The position requires the ability to work weekends and evenings during festival periods;
-Opportunity to participate for free in Montreal’s cultural life (festival events and other shows throughout the year);
-Unlimited sick leave (subject to conditions).

About Festival Accès Asie
Created in 1995, the Festival Accès Asie is a non-profit organization and an artistic, interdisciplinary, intercultural and intergenerational festival, based in Tiohtiá:ke-Mooniyang-Montreal. It presents the work of artists from Asia and its diaspora each year in May, Asian Heritage Month in so-called Canada. The artists presented are mainly connected to East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, the Caucasus and the Middle East. Our programming includes several cultural mediation activities and festive events. It includes a wide variety of fields of practice, including performing arts, visual and media arts, literary arts, interdisciplinary arts and culinary arts. In addition to its activities in May, the festival also holds 1) Let’s confront racism together!, several artistic events aimed at fighting racism and building transcultural solidarity in March in Tiohtiá:ke-Mooniyang-Montreal, 2) the festival Fleur de lys, Fleur de thé which amplifies the work of Asian-Canadian artists in regional communities during the summer, as well as 3) several activities promoting Asian artists and taking place throughout the year, in partnership with other art presenters or festivals.
