Appearing during the Song Dynasty (10th to 13th centuries), the Chinese Dian Cha Tea Ceremony has not been practiced for hundreds of years. The ancestor of Japan’s Chanoyudu matcha tea ceremony, Dian Cha, invites participants to taste and discover forgotten flavors.

Biographies

Maître Han Le

Born in Vietnam, Master Le (he, him) grew up in Montreal. He is the owner of Salon de Thé Oasis since 2003 and Guru Teas. Additionally, he is the founder of “The Association of Masters of Tea and Ancestral Knowledge.” A culinary chef by profession, Master Le is passionate about everything related to gastronomy and the pleasure of taste. He embraced his origins by specializing in the field of tea, studying tea in China and Japan with great masters. For over 17 years, he has worked as a tea master, following authentic and ancestral traditions. Master Le is considered an ambassador of Japanese tea. An innovator, he works with tea in all its forms, mastering tea roasting and creating mixed teas. His passion for sharing his culture and knowledge led him to become a teacher and lecturer, training the next generation of tea masters and tea sommeliers.
