A message from Nayla Naoufal for Fleur de Lys, Fleur de thé!

Fleur de lys, Fleur de thé is a meeting point for discovery and exchange around the practices, imaginations, and stories of artists from Asian diasporas in Quebec. Focused on building connections and cultural mediation, this traveling mini-festival offers residents of a Quebec region a vibrant and original program.

From September 12 to 15, 2024, we will be in Saguenay with a program of eight activities in collaboration with the Bibliothèques de Chicoutimi, including two workshops and an animated film screening for children and adults alike. This edition will feature artists such as Brintha Koneshachandra, Amrita Choudhury, Barbara Kaneratonni Diabo, Christophe Cinq, Pedro Diaz, Bijuriya, Laurence Ly, Thao Lam, among others. Their practices hybrid and inventive practices connect India, Tamil Eelam, Kahnawake, and other regions, while highlighting solidarities and ecofeminisms. Between here and elsewhere, rootedness and exile, renewal and memory, belonging and nostalgia, this edition celebrates the ties that unite territories.
